This is a collection of songs about our more common household pets. The songs allude more to the characteristics of some of our favorites, rather than portraying veterinary attributes. Cats tend to be cool, dogs exuberant, the gerbils’ charming appearance hiding quite a vicious streak, and so on.
The songs will work individually or collectively. A TMB musical ‘PEST’ is also available. It embraces many key issues in a benign yet poignant way. The presentation utilizes all the Pet Collection songs and deals with bullying, racism and points us towards harmony, love and our need of one another - because we’re all different and have unique qualities we can bring to our school, our community and our friends. As the title suggests, dyslexia is the problem that acts as the catalyst to bring out the worst - and eventually the best - in the animals we know and love.
These songs take an eclectic tour through much of modern pop textures. Rock, rock and roll, light jazz, folk and ballads are all visited one way or another, thus giving a varied and stimulating adventure musically and lyrically
